A leading supplier of high-quality electronic components is looking to add to their UK Team. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary of up £45k base plus benefits and is remotely based covering the Midlands and North of England. You will also cover Ireland, but this is only expected to be 1-2 client visits per year.

As the Field Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and driving the growth of product sales within the territory by way of developing excellent relationships with our customers whilst also providing technical support where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage efficiently the growth of sales within the territory
  • Maintaining sales visits and calls in an efficient and profitable way.
  • Servicing certain existing and new accounts with the requirement of expanding the range of products sold within your current customer base.
  • Generating new accounts by identifying and encouraging future business prospects and opportunities with regular market research.
  • Maintaining a balanced portfolio of accounts with long-term, medium and short-term prospects.
  • Attending exhibitions when required.
  • Maintaining the CRM (Maximiser) database with current events with each customer including producing visit reports and RFQs to keep the record current
  • Maintaining a technical competence and knowledge on own and competitor products
  • Optimising the ratio of sales to non-sales activities (back office)


  • Prior experience in a technical or transferable position
  • Prior experience in an external sales role
  • Proven track record in driving territory sales
  • Basic technical understanding of Electronic Components
  • Ability to travel when necessary
