One of the UK’s leading electrical connector products distributors is looking to expand its external sales team. This is a full-time role with a competitive base salary of up to £55k plus bonus and car allowance and is field-based covering the whole of the UK.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the business through selling an extensive range of electrical connectors and associated products to the military and industrial electronic equipment industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • To maximise the sale of the company’s interconnection products on a profitable basis
  • Identifying new business opportunities in existing and new markets
  • Conduct customer visits to promote the products/services available from the Company and to identify potential new applications
  • Participate in product-specific marketing campaigns where necessary in order to support the Company’s marketing policy
  • Support all related design, marketing and pricing functions of the Company
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding price/delivery issues
  • Provide timely and accurate management information where necessary
  • Work effectively with existing Company policies and procedures
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects within functional responsibility in order to meet the needs of the business

Requirements

  • Background in Connector/Interconnect Product Sales
  • Background in Military and Aerospace Markets
  • A proven track record of success in increasing sales of technical-related products
  • Proficient in the use of IT
  • Willingness to travel/stay away from home in the UK and abroad where necessary
