Partner with a premier Contract Electronics Manufacturer with over 30 years of experience. They specialise in manufacturing, logistics, and repair services for the Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, and Renewable Energy sectors, offering expertise in Digital, Analogue, RF, and mechanical disciplines. As a leader in electronics manufacturing services, achieved through continual improvement. They excel in becoming an extension of their customers’ businesses, partnering in product development, and ensuring high-quality standards, including EN 9100:2018 (AS9100) Rev D certification.

Offering comprehensive electronic manufacturing services, from new product design and board layout to surface mount and conventional builds, JTAG and XJTAG testing, conformal coating, full box build, and direct shipping to end customers.

While our client’s primary customer base is in the UK, they have expanded globally, serving clients in Europe, North America, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out prospecting in both current and new markets to acquire new qualified leads
  • Managing new opportunities from lead, RFQ to contract award
  • Provide a plan for customer meetings and strategic partnerships with potential customers
  • Developing and maintaining strategic account plans
  • Undertake market research and analysis and provide reporting on the results
  • Contribute to bid management, reason for wins and losses
  • Maintain and track opportunities with the CRM and ensure the sales pipeline is updated and real
  • Provide sales order forecasting in the long and short term, realistic and provide supportive evidence to substantiate the forecasts
  • To instigate meetings, both on-site and off-site with potential and current customers to ensure that the “services and capabilities” are fully conveyed.
  • Utilise social media for selling opportunities, networking, and business relationships
  • Attend company exhibitions and trade events, assist with event planning when required


  • Previous experience in similar Business Development role
  • Knowledge of electronics/engineering processes
  • Educated to Degree Level is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal
  • Creative and strategic mindset
