Seeking a Technical Development Manager – Power Electronics, EMC and Passives to be based in the United Kingdom, this position is not just a job but a career path that offers growth and personal development within a dynamic industry.

The essence of this role lies in the design and technical support of power semiconductors, EMCs, magnetics, or passives. As a field-based professional, the successful candidate will be pivotal in discovering new business avenues, enhancing customer relations, and driving technical support initiatives. Collaboration with the sales team, customers, and suppliers to foster projects and business growth will be a daily pursuit. Moreover, the role entails comprehending customer applications, contributing to sales training, and reporting to the Regional Technical Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing in power semiconductors, EMCs, magnetics, or passives and technically supporting customers.
  • This field-based role identifies new opportunities, provides technical support to existing customers, and identifies new customer targets.
  • You’ll work closely with our sales team, customers, and suppliers to develop projects and new business opportunities.
  • Understanding customer applications and requirements.
  • Assisting and developing sales training for our promotional products.
  • Being responsible for Northern Europe and reporting to the Regional Technical Manager.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in design and technical support within the electronics market either customer, distributor, or manufacturer.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of power electronics, EMC, magnetics, and passives.
  • Experienced in new business identification and project management with strong organizational skills.
  • Good verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills and motivated to work from a home office.
  • Good Microsoft Office knowledge and other relevant IT/office applications.
  • English Language is required.
