A global manufacturer and distributor specialising in Audio connectors is looking to expand their external sales team. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary of up to £42k base plus bonus and is field-based, covering the North of the UK, with visits to their main office in Surrey.

As the Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for increasing the sales year on year, by communicating with both potential and established customers and increasing the sale of both old and new products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop product areas
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Translate product strategies into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Identify and fill product gaps, generating new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Evaluate promotion plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy
  • Visit customers and exhibitions on behalf of the company
  • Liaise with engineering, purchasing, sales and production teams
  • Identify and resolve client concerns
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals


  • Knowledge of stock control and booking-in procedures
  • Good organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to management
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies would be a plus
