Your primary goal would be to expand market intergration among small and medium-sized customers, as well as to secure large-scale projects through the distribution channel in collaboration with their Sales team and local distribution teams. Additional tasks are to build a select portfolio of direct customers within their territory, focusing primarily on those in the industrial and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the distribution network and territory assignments in collaboration with the sales team, ensuring alignment and effectiveness.
  • Maintain and oversee distribution contracts.
  • Gather and integrate feedback from distributors to enhance technical support, service, and policies for the distribution network.
  • Collect and manage distributor reports for accurate tracking and performance assessment.
  • Make final decisions on project registration requests in coordination with the sales team.
  • Promote and sell the full range of products, serving as the primary sales and technical contact for direct industrial and energy sector customers, and determine the best approach for managing these clients long-term.
  • Oversee the resolution of disputed sales and distribution claims.
  • Conduct business reviews with distributors in partnership with local sales teams.
  • Facilitate coordination between pan-European and local distributors.
  • Initiate and support distributor marketing efforts in collaboration with marketing, product management, and application engineering teams.
  • Maintain and update price lists as needed.
  • Identify and develop additional sales channels, such as electrical wholesalers, and conduct preliminary research on emerging channels, including online platforms.
  • Regular travel to meet with customers, attend trade fairs, and visit factories, along with other essential meetings.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills achieved through a bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical background
  • Fluent business English and German language skills (spoken and written) are necessary, other languages are desirable.
  • Solid technical expertise, supported by a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience working in international environments
  • Strong intercultural, presentation, and management skills
  • Proven ability to navigate complex sales processes, engaging effectively with all levels—from technical and engineering teams to senior management—along with insight into timing and strategy
  • Strong negotiation abilities
