They are seeking a driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to join their expanding team. This field-based role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional who excels at building lasting customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored technical solutions. The successful candidate will focus on growing the customer base while strengthening existing partnerships, representing a respected name in the high-tech electronics and RF distribution industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify and generate new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and account development.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings and site visits to understand customer requirements and present effective technical solutions.
  • Provide product and technical expertise, clearly communicating the value and application of the company’s technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across sales support, engineering, and logistics to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and quotations, negotiating terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity, identifying emerging trends and opportunities for business growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales-focused engineering or technical role, ideally within the electronics or related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop relationships, and close sales opportunities effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage technical and commercial audiences alike.
  • Highly self-motivated and organised, capable of working independently and managing a field-based schedule efficiently.
  • A technical background in engineering, electronics, or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to meet customers and attend industry events.
