Reporting to the Director of Sales for the DACH region, this role will collaborate closely with the Internal Sales and Technical Sales teams to support the company’s overall business strategy. The position is responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and strategies aimed at driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and establishing the company as a trusted strategic supplier to key customers within the region. Ideally, the candidate will be based within 100 km of the Munich office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages customer activities within the defined region, works in conjunction with the Technical & Product Solutions Manager and Internal Sales Representatives to introduce products to customers, and to increase the customer portfolio in accordance with agreed business development plan.
- Identifies target customers, build relationships and develop strategies utilising all available resources to grow the account base within specified region.
- Lead generation, qualifying business opportunities, business presentations.
- Responsible for accurate and timely forecasting of new business opportunities, and revenue for the region
- Ensuring CRM is utilized and maintained on a daily basis.
- Provides effective communication and service to the customer base, and effectively navigates internally to priorities on active business opportunities.
- Travel within the assigned region will be expected at min. 50%
Requirements
- BA or BS Degree in Electronics related subjects would be an advantage
- Proven business development, sales & management experience in the electronic component/ semiconductor industry
- Experience developing a large territory whilst working from a virtual office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others internally and externally
- Fluent in German and English language is essential, any additional languages would be advantageous
- Strong relationship-building skills both internally and externally and the ability to navigate and effectively manage business partners & suppliers successfully
- Proven background in developing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers including experience in closing complex deals with customers & partners
- Flexibility and multi-tasking, ability to undertake several tasks at once and manage them efficiently
- Ability to problem solve by identifying the root cause and realizing/implementing solutions
- Ability to maintain focus with little or no supervision
- Passionate about business and willing to go the extra mile
- Positive attitude with the ability to engage and learn quickly
- Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced level required)
- Must hold a full current driving license
- Must be able and willing to travel (50 to 60% of travel)
