This global leader in full-cycle electronic solutions is looking for a driven BDM. They provide services spanning research and development, manufacturing, and supply chain management to top-tier clients in the medical, industrial, and aerospace & defense sectors. With a workforce across 21 international locations, they are expanding their presence in the United Kingdom and are seeking a talented, motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and strengthen their market position.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth in the sales territory by developing and executing strategic plans to achieve or exceed agreed-upon sales budgets.
- Identify, target, and secure new customer accounts within key industries, including medical and industrial.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the company, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any issues to maintain a strong, positive relationship.
- Actively pursue new sales opportunities by analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to introduce innovative solutions tailored to customer challenges.
- Prepare and deliver monthly sales reports, including detailed analysis of area performance, budgets, and forecasts. Provide actionable insights to improve sales effectiveness.
- Optimise resources and opportunities within the sales area by designing and executing well-structured sales plans that align with corporate objectives.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events, actively networking to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
Requirements
- Experienced in field sales and business development (5 years). Preferably in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the industrial and medical industries.
- Technical aptitude and ability to solve problems.
- Experienced in client-facing situations with the ability to persuade.
- History of identifying opportunities, generating sales and cross-selling products.
- Ability to cold call and to self-generate new leads and customers.
- Ability to travel in the UK without restrictions.
