An experienced Production Planner is being sought to join the existing team, ensuring smooth product flow through the manufacturing process for a variety of major OEMs.
The primary focus of this position is to manage capacity planning through Epicor and schedule the Surface Mount (SMT) and Conventional (PTH) build plans. The role ensures service levels are maintained to deliver timely and complete customer satisfaction across all manufacturing and commercial commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee capacity planning using Epicor.
- Develop, manage, and track Surface Mount (SMT) and Conventional (PTH) build schedules, ensuring alignment with production goals.
- Facilitate job start processes, proactively identifying and escalating any potential delays.
- Provide Account Managers with accurate product delivery timelines.
- Update and maintain job start dates in Epicor, ensuring alignment with material availability, engineering readiness, and change notifications, while keeping Account Managers informed.
- Ensure ship dates align with current capacity plans and production schedules.
- Monitor sales order accuracy, flagging any discrepancies to Account Management.
- Maintain the accuracy of open jobs, initiating closure requests as needed.
- Support on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery for regularly produced items and generate on-time delivery (OTD) reports for customers.
Requirements
- Degree or good level of higher education
- Demonstrable manufacturing industry experience in planning and job management
- Knowledge of EPICOR Kinetic or V10 or similar ERP system
- A good understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and flexible approach
- Determined problem owner who will see it resolved.
- Excellent MS Office & ERP Skills
