A Quality Inspector is needed to join this innovative team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products are consistently manufactured to the highest standards for major OEMs. This role involves ensuring compliance with build standards, with responsibilities including final audits, roving audits, and specific area audits to maintain quality and reliability throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection of PCB assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standard.
- Inspection of box-build product and mechanical assemblies using customer drawings.
- Issuing and signing certificate of conformity for finished goods.
- Goods Inwards inspection of PCBs, metal work and plastic parts.
- Inspection and evaluation of returned product to identify required repair/rework. Completion of RMA reports for submission to customers.
- Identifying and reporting significant or repetitive defects.
- Audit product following defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Ensure all deviations from either defined build instruction or IPC-A-610 standards are clearly identified and logged in line with defined procedures.
- Ensure defined processes are robust, clear & concise and can consistently achieve the required standards.
- Ensure all processes are stringently adhered to, any gaps or process improvements should be highlighted to your immediate supervision. They will ensure that effective remedial actions are taken promptly including updating supporting documentation in QMS.
- Compliance with the company Quality Standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Industry Experience
- Understanding Factory Logix (Aegis).
- Current Certification to IPC-A-610 (desirable).
- Component Knowledge & Identification.
- Able to follow Customer Drawings.
- ESD Awareness.
- Experience of collecting information and compiling First Article Inspection reports (AS9102).
- Understanding & use of QMS system.
- Attention to detail.
- Customer focused.
- Ability to creatively challenge issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of EPICOR is advantageous.
