As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with specialist technical teams to support OEMs and CEMs in delivering innovative, mission-critical solutions. The role is focused on driving growth across advanced electronic components and system technologies, identifying new business opportunities, and deepening relationships within an established customer base across industrial and critical infrastructure markets. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively lead sales efforts within the assigned territory by identifying, researching, and engaging prospective clients.
  • Formulate and execute strategic account plans to enter new markets and strengthen existing customer relationships.
  • Present products and services effectively to prospects and clients, showcasing value and tailored solutions.
  • Maintain a well-organised sales pipeline through consistent use of CRM tools and quotation tracking systems.
  • Partner with internal teams, including product managers and suppliers, to coordinate joint customer visits and provide technical support.
  • Launch targeted sales campaigns to generate demand for specific market segments or product lines.
  • Develop and maintain strategic plans for key accounts to ensure long-term growth and retention.
  • Support the creation of territory plans and contribute to localised sales strategies.
  • Assist in shaping marketing collateral and initiatives to support regional business development.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade forums, and customer sites domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Successful experience in B2B sales within electronics, lighting technologies, or connectivity products.
  • Previous experience in component distribution environments.
  • Strong experience in space, defence, or aerospace markets at component/board level.
  • Skilled in strategic selling, opportunity management, and sales closure.
  • Experienced in social selling and professional networking.
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation, negotiation, and commercial problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong CRM discipline and planning methodology.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior business development or sales role.
  • Exposure to multi-channel and distribution sales models.
  • Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Electronics) or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and structured sales methodologies.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and resilient under pressure
  • Empowering and collaborative team player who leads by example with a strategic and hands-on approach
  • Decisive and accountable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Full driving licence required.
  • Regular travel required.
