They are seeking a skilled and proactive Electronics Buyer to join their dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and managing critical electronic components that drive the company’s advanced vehicle systems. Working closely with engineering, production, and NPI teams, this position will focus on supplier relationship management, supporting EMS/CEM manufacturing partners, and ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality components essential to both innovation and production success.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure key electronic components (semiconductors, sensors, PCBs, control modules, passives, and electromechanical parts).
- Manage supplier and EMS/CEM relationships, ensuring cost, quality, and lead-time targets are met.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by coordinating with engineering and supply chain teams.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term supply arrangements.
- Monitor market conditions, shortages, and obsolescence risks to proactively manage supply continuity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement strategy with R&D and production goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electronics Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or Commodity Manager in the electronics, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of electronic component sourcing, EMS relationships, and supplier management.
- Experience supporting NPI or prototype projects.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.
- Fluent English (Spanish a plus).
- Willingness to relocate to Barcelona or operate on-site in Spain.
