A global leader in electromechanical solutions, specialising in switches, joysticks, LED indicators, and panel systems, supplies a wide range of industries worldwide. Backed by a larger international group focused on safety and automation, the UK division is recognised as a market leader and continues to expand. To drive this growth, the business is seeking a Key Account Manager to develop sales across the South and Southwest. The role offers flexibility to be office-based, hybrid, or field-focused, and calls for a proven B2B sales background—ideally with technical knowledge of electromechanical products—and the ability to build strong, lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Account management of 100+ key customers within the territory.
- Develop and create new business opportunities (NBO).
- Maintain and develop good customer relationships with a clear understanding of assigned projects.
- Preparation of sales strategies and value propositions.
- Working within a team, you will be expected to follow up on all potential sales leads.
- Ensuring regular customer visits to maintain a high level of customer service and be aware of customers’ new designs and products.
- Forecasting sales revenues for the accountable territory.
- Achieve or surpass targeted sales levels in the defined territory according to the sales plan and in association with the sales manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
- Background in electronics, electromechanical products, or a technical industry (preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and grow new business opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
- Experience managing key accounts, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
- Skilled negotiator with experience in pricing, contracts, and closing deals.
- Proficient in using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customers across the region.
