Join this trusted and well-established Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM). This organisation delivers high-quality PCB assembly, cable harnessing, and electromechanical assembly services to OEM customers across a wide range of sectors, including industrial, automotive, communications, and instrumentation. Renowned for its technical expertise, responsive service, and flexible production capabilities, the company supports customers through every stage of the product lifecycle — from concept and prototyping through to volume manufacturing and after-sales support.

They are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across the UK. The successful candidate will focus on identifying, engaging, and securing new customers requiring PCBA, cable assembly, and turnkey manufacturing solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities across OEM and technology manufacturing customers.
  • Promote the company’s full range of CEM/EMS services, including PCBA, cable harnessing, box build, and test solutions.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are fully supported.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial proposals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to quotation, negotiation, and order closure.
  • Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and customer site visits across the UK.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electronics manufacturing sales, ideally within a CEM/EMS environment.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA, cable assembly, and box-build production processes.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new OEM customer accounts.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • UK-wide travel flexibility with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
