A globally recognised electronic components manufacturer is investing heavily in its UK and Nordic operations and is seeking a Sales Manager to play a key role in its continued growth. Known for innovation, engineering excellence, and long-term customer partnerships, the business offers a dynamic, international environment with strong internal support and clear strategic direction. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a regional sales team, influence market strategy, and work closely with customers and technical experts to drive sustainable growth across high-value markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a territory growth strategy aligned with the wider group’s commercial objectives.
  • Lead, support, and coach the UK and Nordic sales team to drive market share and revenue growth.
  • Coordinate and influence internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality customer support across quotations, logistics, application engineering, and quality.
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of strategic and high-value accounts, managing account strategy, planning, and long-term relationships within targeted industries.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities and projects in close collaboration with application engineers and commercial colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites, exhibitions, factories, and internal meetings to support business development and relationship management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates clear leadership potential, with previous people management experience considered an advantage.
  • 7 years of experience working in international environments, with strong intercultural awareness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or  similar technical background
  • Strong technical, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident presenter and communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders from technical teams through to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, including multi-level customer engagement and complex negotiations.
  • Natural leader with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and self-driven, with a dynamic approach to achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to set, track, and achieve clear commercial goals.
  • Additional language skills are advantageous.
