You will build and develop long-term customer relationships, working closely with engineers, technical teams, and key decision-makers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. Alongside managing existing accounts, you’ll proactively identify and convert new business opportunities, maximising revenue and unlocking further potential across your territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive consistent sales growth across the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding agreed targets through a structured and proactive sales approach.
  • Develop and execute a clear territory plan, managing time effectively to maximise customer engagement and coverage.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and market insight.
  • Grow revenue within existing accounts by promoting the full product range, while maintaining a well-balanced pipeline of opportunities across the short, medium, and long term.
  • Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events, maintaining a credible and consistent brand presence.
  • Accurately manage all activity within the CRM system, including customer interactions, visit reports, quotations, and RFQs, ensuring opportunities are effectively tracked and progressed.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical product knowledge, keeping up to date with competitor activity, pricing, and market trends, and providing valuable feedback to support business strategy.
  • Balance field-based sales activity with administrative responsibilities to maximise productivity, regularly reviewing performance and implementing actions to exceed targets and KPIs.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in field sales within a technical or engineering-led environment
  • Experience managing a territory and consistently delivering against revenue targets
  • Strong ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
  • Confident in consultative, solution-based selling with technical stakeholders (engineering/procurement)
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to work independently in a field-based role
