An exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering-led business specialising in power management solutions for critical infrastructure. With a strong reputation for innovation, reliability, and technical expertise, the company supports customers across data centres, healthcare, industrial, and commercial environments where power continuity and performance are essential.

They are now looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to drive growth across their Power Monitoring Systems (PMS) offering. This is a technically focused, customer-facing role where you will work closely with consultants, contractors, and end users to deliver tailored solutions, supporting projects from specification through to installation.

You will propose technical solutions to meet specific customer requirements, working closely with internal tender teams to produce accurate quotations and supporting documentation across metering and switchgear product ranges. The role will involve providing technical support to both customers and the UK sales team on larger, more complex projects, as well as engaging directly with key customers through training sessions, product updates, and project meetings.

There will also be involvement in site activity, including commissioning support, customer training, and project handover—offering a varied and hands-on role within a technically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations and tender submissions across power switching and monitoring solutions, representing the business in pre- and post-tender meetings.
  • Support project delivery through pre-delivery planning and on-site activity, including commissioning, training, and handover.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, including fault finding and project assistance, while delivering training to key stakeholders using internal CRM tools.
  • Drive specification activity with end users and consultants, generate new business opportunities, and manage opportunities through to close.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to deliver regional growth plans, develop target markets, and maintain strong relationships across customers and partners.
  • Performance will be measured against sales targets, new account development, and consistent customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in electrical/electronic engineering or HND in electrical engineering.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong time management and confident presentation ability.
