This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to join a well-established business in the electronic components industry, supporting customers across the Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Industrial, and Energy sectors. Working as part of a collaborative procurement team, you’ll play a key role in sourcing electronic components, building supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and helping to solve complex supply chain challenges. No two days are the same, making this an ideal position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving, attention to detail and commercial thinking are valued. Key Responsibilities
- Source electronic components from manufacturers, franchised distributors and approved independent suppliers.
- Identify alternative and equivalent parts to overcome supply chain challenges.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, supplier quotations and purchasing activities.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities and commercial terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers.
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries and supplier performance.
- Support projects requiring full product traceability, certification and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Quality, Logistics and Finance to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data within ERP systems.
- Help reduce supply chain risk while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous experience within Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Sourcing.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Excellent organisation and communication abilities.
- Comfortable working with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality and delivery.
- Able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Curious, proactive and eager to develop within the electronics industry.
