This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a UK territory and make a measurable impact on its growth. With the freedom to manage the region from home, the successful candidate will spend their time where it matters most – in front of customers, developing key accounts, opening new doors and creating new opportunities. Combining account development with proactive new business sales, the role offers the autonomy to build a strong pipeline, increase market share and turn customer relationships into long-term commercial growth. It would suit a driven salesperson who enjoys managing their own territory, getting out into the market and seeing the direct results of their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the assigned territory and deliver consistent sales and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute a structured territory sales plan to increase market share.
- Conduct regular customer visits and effectively manage territory coverage and travel.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
- Proactively identify, develop and convert new business opportunities.
- Grow existing accounts by introducing customers to the wider product portfolio.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of short, medium and long-term opportunities.
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through RFQ, quotation and order conversion.
- Maintain accurate customer activity, visit reports and opportunities within Maximiser CRM.
- Develop strong technical and commercial knowledge of the company’s products and applications.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market developments to identify new opportunities.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support wider sales and product strategy.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.
- Balance field sales activity with effective planning, administration and follow-up.
- Regularly review performance against sales targets and KPIs, taking ownership of continuous improvement.
