An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Distribution Manager to join an established global manufacturer and lead its UK distribution network.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving channel performance, strengthening distributor relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.
This position requires a strong mix of commercial awareness, analytical skills and distribution experience, with responsibility for reviewing sales performance, stock levels, forecasts and market opportunities to support strategic business decisions.
We are looking for a proactive, commercially driven individual who understands the electronic components distribution market and can turn data and market insight into measurable sales growth.
Experience working within a manufacturer or distributor will be considered, provided you have a strong understanding of channel management and distributor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with key distributors, driving sales performance and achieving agreed targets.
- Analyse point-of-sale (POS) data, stock levels, order backlogs and sales forecasts to identify trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with distributors and internal teams to manage inventory levels, demand planning and forecasting.
- Oversee pricing agreements, special pricing requests and ship-and-debit claims.
- Support new product introductions, ensuring successful launches and growth through the distribution network.
- Monitor distributor performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing commercial solutions.
- Use sales data and market insights to make informed decisions that support revenue growth and channel development.
Requirements
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret sales data.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Good understanding of distribution channels and how they operate.
- Strong commercial awareness and decision-making skills.
- Confident communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive improvements in distributor performance.
- Proactive and results-driven approach to achieving business objectives.
