An established UK-based indepedent distributor is looking to expand its UK team. This is a full-time position paying up to £30k base plus commission and is either remote or office-based depending on the candidate’s location, with the office being located in the South East of England.

As the account executive, you will play a crucial role in managing relationships with key clients, driving sales growth, and expanding our market presence. through developing a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, technical requirements and buying patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with existing clients and prospective customers.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the assigned territory or customer base.
  • Proactively engage with customers to promote our range of electronic components and services.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as procurement, logistics, and technical support to meet customer needs.
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize sales agreements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives set by the management team.
  • Utilize CRM systems to maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in sales or account management, preferably in electronic components or related industries
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed
  • Knowledge of electronic component sourcing and distribution channels
  • Understanding of supply chain dynamics and logistics in the electronics industry
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing, OEM, and EMS industries
