Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Day to day operational management, with an emphasis on financial control, continuous improvement, growth, optimisation and new product development for the sustainable growth of the DP&D business
- Development and agreement of an annual plan for the Die & Distribution with the BOD.
- Strategic planning to support the execution of the business plan – including sales, financial performance and new product development
- Lead the growth playbook and X-Matrix activities for the site
- Site leadership through the management team and respective individuals to review production and operating reports, resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth
- In areas of under-performance implement actions to reverse and drive improvement
- Contribute insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with continuing to grow the business at an appropriate pace
- Constructively challenging and inspiring the workforce on overall performance and delivery of responsibilities in accordance with SOP’s
- Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
- Review and support engineering with fundamental changes or new technology used for new or existing processes or improvements to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth
- Review operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets.
- Develop a positive culture ensuring employees are engaged, motivated and productive
- Management of people throughout the site in a clear and supportive way, including regular performance reviews and implementing development plans
- Collaborate with site managers & personnel to drive continuous improvement, performance efficiencies and achievement of targets
- Collaborate with other managers across the Group and liaise with external contractors and vendors
- Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives
- Maintenance and development of infrastructure, equipment base and human resources/skills base, including the setting of objectives and managing performance of employees
- Provide customer support & ensure development of positive long-term relationships with customers
- Prioritise tactical actions to improve service & cost performance
- Medium to long term planning for the site
- Develop & monitor key performance indicators in support of the conformance and continuous improvement activities
- Champion and lead the health & safety culture which ensures safe practices, behaviours and procedures
- Identify capital equipment requirements
- Overall responsibility for facilities management, including site maintenance and security
- Ensure the site is operating in accordance with SOP’s and compliance standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 10+ years General Management experience within relevant field
- Competent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Confident in making decisions, especially in situations of uncertainty, and willing to take calculated risks
- Fast Learner able to adapt, make improvements without exposing the company to excessive financial risks
- Excellent communicator, able to build and motivate a high-performing team
- Strategic thinker with good business judgement and business acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills – confidence, flexibility, integrity, motivation, verbal fluency, sensitivity, decisiveness
- Influential – able to win people over and convince others of their plans and approaches, leveraging their influencing skills to gain support and alignment across the company
- Strong commercial acumen, business development skills, and experience in contract negotiations

Requirements
Qualifications/Education
- BSC/BA in Business or relevant field or equivalent industrial experience
- Post Graduate qualification (MBA, Masters) beneficial
