Join a premier innovator in the relay industry, with a footprint in over 120 countries, as a Key Account Manager. This pivotal role focuses on driving growth and enhancing profitability through our comprehensive product range, including relays, contactors, and cutting-edge low voltage devices. You’ll be instrumental in expanding our market presence and increasing turnover in the DACH and Central Europe regions. Leverage your expertise to implement our development plan, optimize product offerings, and secure a leading position in industrial and energy applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain major account relationships, particularly with leading OEMs and EMS/Tier companies in DACH and Central Europe, as defined by the Sales Manager, and in other countries as needed.
  • Maintain and further develop sustainable relationships with newly acquired customers in DACH and Central Europe, and other countries if necessary.
  • Aim to identify projects early to become the first player/innovator to win the project and generate significant revenue.
  • Identify key areas of influence within defined accounts, recognize decision-makers, and ensure they understand the benefits and business advantages of the company’s product line.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to propose a comprehensive account strategy to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Lead and drive the follow-up and closing of major deals through business development.
  • Manage internal and external projects within the company to achieve desired success.
  • Continuously analyze the market for opportunities and projects.
  • Present the company’s value proposition to customers.
  • Maintain relevant sales input in CRM and SAP, such as monthly forecast updates.
  • Conduct forecasting and business/budget planning in SAP.
  • Report on sales results.
  • Travel regularly to customers, trade fairs, factories, and other necessary meetings.
  • Engage in ongoing promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in business English and German (spoken and written); additional language skills are advantageous.
  • 5 years of industry experience.
  • International experience.
  • Intercultural, interpersonal, presentation, and management skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex sales process, engaging at all levels from engineering and technical teams to senior management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional sales performance.
  • Natural leader by personality, not by organizational chart.
  • Team player with strong communication abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, self-driven, and energetic personality.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
  • Ability to set and achieve goals.
  • Ability to travel within Europe.
